{best} Case of the Mondays: Terri Stickle

We all know Mondays suck.
Each week, I will feature a Monday in the life of someone who can provide some comfort/humor/ inspiration to the start of your week.

Meet Terri Stickle!

Position | Company: I am the VP of Operations at Rose & Womble Realty

One word to describe Mondays to you?  New.  Everyday is completely different….especially Mondays.

5:45am
Awake to Bryce's alarm (my son), not once, not twice, third time is a charm.

6:15am
Grinding of the coffee beans…then the aroma of fresh brew coffee (Starbucks-Sumatra).  I really should get up.

6:16am
Gary’s alarm goes off.  My sweet husband, religiously goes downstairs and gets me coffee.  This time I really need to get up…and to beat Gary to the shower.  This is especially true in the winter when we are all vying for the hot water within the same time and really motivates me to get up and in the shower!

7:30am
Plan what’s for dinner.  I take pleasure in feeding the family.  Sunday through Thursday I plan dinners.  Fridays are my nights off and Saturday I wing it.  Tonight, Chicken Marsala.  Need to defrost the chicken.

7:45am
Start my 50 minute commute to the office, I live in Southern Chesapeake and work in Virginia Beach.  I start making phone calls during this time (Bluetooth guys….safety first)
8:35am
In the office. I check in with the others about their weekend.  Check emails, return VM.  Need to work on end of month reports then appointments.  First one is at 10:00 AM.  Every day is completely different.  Some days are spent in the offices and others are spent driving around our 10 offices or outside appointments.  My favorite part of my job is spending time with our agents, title people and loan officers.  They truly are the ones that make the magic happen!

2:00pm
I am starving.  I normally don’t eat breakfast typically eat around 12:30, but had too many appointments.  Tomato soup with basil, my fav. I start drinking water throughout the day.

4:00pm
I am Chairman of Rose & Womble’s Foundation.  We have been fortunate enough to have the support of the community that has made us #1 in Hampton Roads.  We are committed to return the favor and help those that are less fortunate in the community.  We have a meeting to purchase 1000 meals for Thanksgiving.  We have done fundraisers all year, and accept donations through Paypal.

5:00pm
Stay clear of the door, everyone leaves.  I finish of some computer work, and make the last of phone calls and leave.

6:20pm
Check in with everyone and we chat about our day.  Bryce is going to work out and my daughter Kaitlin is bartending tonight.

6:45pm
I change and get Kane (Kaitlin’s dog) ready for a walk (2 bags included because one is never enough!)
7:30pm
Back home and time to start dinner.  Bryce gets home around 7:45 and Gary is starving..

8:45pm
Clean up the kitchen and prepare the coffee for the morning.

9:15pm
Bryce’s birthday is coming up and I am researching online for a gift.  He is so easy to buy for.  Wednesday is his birthday and I need to coordinate the celebration.  My mother always made it a point to make sure our birthdays were special, because she felt like it was OUR special day.  I have tried to continue the tradition.
10:00pm
Kaitlin comes home and we talk about her night

11:00pm
Bedtime… prayers and I normally fall asleep before I finish.  Goodnight!

Nothing out of the ordinary for the day.   I love my life.  I have a great balance of a job that I enjoy and family and friends that I love. I am blessed.
